Every year more than 700,000 prisoners walk out of prison and back into the community. So while Jesus calls us to visit those in prison—going to where they are—He is also sending out waves of prisoners to where we are. Thus the need, and the opportunity, to reach them with the transforming hope and power of Christ has never been greater!
Therefore, Prison Fellowship—with its vast network of trained volunteers and churches—works both inside and outside of our nation’s prisons to help reconcile incarcerated men and women to God, to their families, and to their communities.
