Join Discussions with Other Justice Fellowship Advocates

I am excited to inform you that Justice Fellowship has launched electronic discussion boards that will allow you and other advocates around the country to share your ideas about the criminal justice system, and discuss your experiences and observations with each other.

I have long felt the need to offer a way that our subscribers and supporters could "talk" to each other on our website. While our site offers many good sources of information, I know that you, our subscribers, have a wealth of experience that will be helpful to other advocates for reform and to us at JF. Now, JF has the technology to allow that to happen, and I hope you will join in the discussions.

Some of the topics that we are featuring are:

  • Successful reentry programs
  • Successful Halfway Houses
  • Difficulty gaining access to prisoners
  • Violence in Prison
  • Prison Rape Elimination Act
  • Policies that make reentry more difficult
  • Policies that discourage families from staying in contact with a love one in prison
  • Successful job programs for ex-prisoners
  • Second Chance Act grants

We also want you to start topics are of interest to you. We think the message boards are an exciting way to include the rich experiences of our subscribers.

We also hope you will continue to take advantage of JF's other communication tools:

Justice Fellowship website: Visit our redesigned site for easy access to in-depth information and resources on key issues as well as updates on news, events and commentary on criminal justice issues.

Justice eReport: While visiting the website, subscribe to the Justice eReport, my commentary on hot topics as well as links to related resources.

Twitter: Follow us at Twitter/justicereform for instant updates on breaking news about the criminal justice system and pending reforms.

Facebook: Become a fan on Justice Fellowship’s Facebook page and meet other like-minded advocates for reform.

On a personal note, some of you are aware that I had a very difficult time with what was supposed to be routine outpatient surgery. I was in a coma for 9 days and in ICU for 5 additional days. I am grateful that God allowed me to live so that I can have more days with my wonderful wife and children, and can continue with JF's important work for reform of our justice system. I am home now, and am recovering little by little. I would really appreciate your prayers, because my recovery will be slow and difficult. The prayers of righteous people availeth much.

In His service,
